What is Luxury Home Interior Design Like?
The process of creating an interior design concept for a villa, apartment, or any other custom-built property for our clients is closely tied to the personality and lifestyle of the residents of each project.
Each material possesses a distinct character that must be adapted to the lifestyle of those residing in the villa. This approach transforms every project into a unique piece of art. We meticulously select every material, texture, color, and shape. Driven by our passion, we seek to create a harmonious sensory experience that balances comfort, privacy, style, and architecture. Our goal is to ensure that living in these homes is a singular experience, with interior designs crafted specifically for the inhabitants.
Architects and interior designers who work with MH Casa are well aware of the fact that we don’t build just houses, we do our best to create a living space that resonates with their lifestyle and the desired types of experience they wish to have.
José Antonio Flores on Creativity & Inspiration
José A. Flores considers himself a creative individual who, like other creative people, sees the world differently. His sources of inspiration for creating and executing an idea for Luxury Home Interior Design can stem from anywhere. According to him, “Inspiration can come from anywhere; it can come from a smell, from a texture, you can experience a feeling and get inspired. In any space, and from there, you start pulling a string and develop a whole project.”
It’s true, inspiration can come from a flower, from anything, at least from my point of view.
He also emphasizes his passion for creativity by describing himself as a multidisciplinary person, stating, “So I consider myself a multidisciplinary person, that is, because the same way I like designing houses, I like to design objects, I like to design clothes, I like to design everything. That is, everything that can involve creativity, I like to do it. I find myself in my environment.”
Working Principals of Jose. A Flores
When describing his personality in a few words, he mentions these qualities: “For me, honesty, values, and decency are very important in a person.”
By adhering to these principles when designing Luxury Home Interior Design, he has established his name and brand as one of the most sought-after interior designers, managing numerous international projects in Marbella, Spain, Kuwait, Dubai, London, the United States, and even Iran.
Flores and his team are meticulous in every stage of their work, and according to José, just as he is a perfectionist, each team member also works with utmost precision. This meticulousness is evident in his harmonious designs, characterized by sleek, modern, and minimal styles with eye-catching, nature-inspired colors.
The lighting, attention to detail, and the forms and shapes that come together in each project create a unique atmosphere specific to each space. The objects and elements used, the colors, plants, and decorations all seem to complete different pieces of a puzzle, emphasizing both the functionality and aesthetics of the space.
José Flores always strives to communicate and engage closely with clients to understand their desires, needs, and perspectives on design and the space they will inhabit:
“The projects I had in Marbella, Dubai, Paris, and London, USA, have given me a lot because it is no longer about having worked in different cities but rather I have learned I have had to know a lot about the individuality of the client. I had to know, and I had to learn myself, to know what kind of client was born in such a city, what their mentality is built from, how they were born, etc. and their beliefs are completely different from ours, that is, people from different countries and cities, their beliefs are different from ours, so I learned a lot.
I learned how to be caring, and how to show sympathy because sometimes they go very differently or very far from what we usually work with here.
I think that working with different cultures nourishes a person and you should take advantage of the opportunity they give you to get to know people from different cultures.”
Collaboration between MH Casa & Jose Flores
Why did MH Casa decide to collaborate with Jose Antonio Flores for their interior design projects? Hearing the answer to this question from Flores himself is interesting:
“Why us? The answer is very simple. Because we put all our enthusiasm and the passion of the whole world into what we do, we treat each Luxury Home Interior Design project as if it were unique, and, above all,
we care about the interests of each of our clients, which is very important in our work.
Also, we are not only designers, but also, if I may say so, your lawyers, because it is first of all important for us that you feel comfortable in this city, like in any other, this is really what we promise, we design and we carry it out, and each of our clients has a guarantee that we will fulfill what we promised at the very beginning.
We do not create illusions, we do our work and we make the project a reality, and, above all, we put love and passion into our work.”
Characteristics of Flores’s Style
Flores explains his style in Luxury Home Interior Design by saying that his goal is to create timeless designs that remain relevant and stylish well into the future. His projects are crafted to maintain their appeal from 2021 through to 2030 or 2040. This means avoiding trends that are fleeting and instead focusing on a sophisticated elegance that endures. In essence, his style is defined by three main principles: timelessness, elegance, and sophistication.
Furthermore, in response to the question “How do you think the style will develop in the coming years?” he says:
“In recent years, there has been a noticeable shift towards prioritizing natural materials and textures over ostentatious luxury items. This “less is more” approach is gaining traction, emphasizing the use of noble materials that the earth provides. The trend is moving towards making homes feel more natural and serene, creating spaces that inspire and offer peace.
As people spend more time in their homes, they increasingly seek environments that promote tranquility and introspection. This direction, which could be described as spiritual or transcendental, is about designing spaces that foster a sense of inner peace and well-being. The focus is on organic, natural elements that help individuals reconnect with themselves.
My goal is to design homes and spaces that enhance the ability to reflect and find inner calm. I believe the industry is moving towards this spiritual design aspect, a direction we aspire to follow.”
